Baking the Christmas desert has become a bit of a tradition for me in the past few years. The first year was pure coincidence – I just happened to bake on Christmas Eve and when the brownies weren’t all eaten the night before, I dusted them with some icing sugar to give them a snowy effect (much like the chocolate yule log), threw together some chocolate sauce and served them after a fabulous turkey. Since then I’ve always made desert for the big day.
